President Obama Plants a Garden
The President wants fresh vegetables. Where does he get them from? From his own garden! This is the first garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt who planted a "victory garden" during World War II.
Michelle Obama wants to send a health message about eating right.
The President's garden will have butterhead and red leaf lettuce, spinach, broccoli, onions, carrots, peas, sage, oregano, rosemary, to name just a few.
According the First Lady, everyone, including the President, will have to take a turn weeding in the garden.
