what type of plants should I put in my front garden (Australia)? I need plants that dont have roots that travel looking for water or that would crack my brickwork foundations. I have japanese Box plants both sides of the side driveway, but need something to go right across the front of the house. I am not real good with thinking these things up myself :(
Answer:
You never mentioned what part of Australia you are in, however as a lavender farmer I recomend lavender of course and which variety will suit will depend on your location, talk to your local nursery. A very good hardy garden variety is Lavandula Dentata Candicans, it's what is commonly known and unfortunately sold as French Lavender, there is however 8 + varieties of French Lavender and they are all different, find a nursery that sells Candicans. Otherwise try Rosemary
