Granite is considered the best cobblestone. However, it is quite expensive. Therefore, many people choose either concrete or asphalt which can be processed to look like granite or other natural stones. Some purists will only use authentic stones. And although, no one else will know the stones are not authentic, the owner will know. The granite and asphalt are much cheaper, but they do not handle the elements as well. Granite does not allow water to permeate its surface. It will not usually fade or crack. However, granite and asphalt are known to have these problems. You must decide whether the higher cost of real stone is worth it.

Cobblestone in any variety is known for having excellent durability. It is also usually easy to fix if damaged. Just the part that has the damage needs to be repaired. It has an exceptionally long life. It can be enjoyed for many years.

The choice of style and pattern is really endless. Some choose more classical looks, while others prefer to have a more modern tone. Either choice can be quite beautiful.
